Very Strange Win98 Computer Problem
My fiancee's computer is acting up. While running win98, and occasionally the computer will beep like 5 or 6 times. It happens maybe once every 30 or 45 minutes last night, but before then it had only happened very seldom, and not on this machine but a different one she was using. I am inclinded to think this may be a virus on her system, as she has had a simple boot virus that has infected a good number of her floppy disks. Aside from the possibilty of a virus, is there anything else that would cause these beeps?
Also nothing out of the ordinary happens when the computer beeps, it continues to run fine. But its loud enough to wake us up so I would like to fix the problem.

I can't help you but I'd give it a zero for sound in a review...

I have found the problem. Her cell-phone was sitting on top of the computer. It seems that whenever it is near the computer it causes problems. I hate to think what that thing does to your brain if it can cause a computer to act funny.
