I saw this on the ESPN ticker and thought it was a pretty bizarre move. My guess is Denny either hated him, or Blake was going to throw a hissy fit if relegated to backup.

I can't decide if this means they definitely will, or definitely will not draft a quarterback.

How will they live without Blake as their QB? There were some games where he exceeded 100 yards passing!

Some specualte he'll bring in a different veteran to compete with McCown. I believe he's gone to the well and come up with Cunningham, George and I think Moon before...

Blake wasn't black enough for Denny.

My thoughts exactly. This was obviously race related. Black quarterbacks can't get a fair shake in this league.

Denny Green is still trying to figure out where David Boston's locker is.

He was cut because everyone knows that the QB position has been Arizona's BIGGEST problem the last two seasons.

Blake's nickname was "Leon" like from the Bud TV spots. He kept saying it wasn't his fault the team sucked (which I believe it's the owner's). He was the "cancer" in the locker room we hear so much about according to the radio guys here. His best quote was yesterday saying how "I've never played on a winning team", mabey it really was the player's lack of talent that got him cut.

Blake, 33, started 13 games for the Cardinals last season, passing for 2,247 yards and 13 touchdowns with 15 interceptions. McCown started the other three games and was 95-of-166 for 1,018 yards and five TDs in 10 games overall.

Lets see.

New York Jets check
Cincinnati check
New Orleans check
Baltimore check
Arizona check
Dallas ....
