Training Updates

Well, another week of training is gone.

My backup keeper popped to solid. Other than that:
value +6/-10
form +3/-5

Not a great update.

One PM to brilliant (That was a surprise)
One PM to outstanding (That wasn't)
One winger PM skill to Solid
One winger PM skill to passable

Form One starter dropped to passable otherwise every starter is passable or solid.

How much do guys like this go for nowadays?

Charles Guevara

Has poor experience and wretched leadership abilities [Head]

Stamina: excellent Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: brilliant Passing: poor
Winger: wretched Defending: weak
Scoring: poor Set Pieces: weak

17 y.o. striker to solid (Pedro Dill my experiment, popped after 3 weeks) will go on the market tomorrow

17 y.o. striker to excellent (my Romanian protege)

I have a feeling next week will see some big pops to my other strikers, can't wait.

brilliant PM / weak d/ poor pass / excellent stam

GEEZ.. your guys stats were a mess to try to clean up.. so i just retyped it..

okay so since this guy doesn't have much secondaries.. I would say 2.2 mil? at least 2.0 and no more than 2.5.. I may be off here since I haven't quite sold anything over outstanding yet. I will be selling 2 mags in 4-5 weeks most likely. Hope I helped a little

Nice update:

+6/-3 form

2 IM's to formidable playmaking
1 W to inad playmaking

I now have 4-21yo formid playmakers -- getting about time to either rotate in new trainees or switch programs, haven't decided which yet.

edit: illinifan -- I was also going to say 2-2.5 mil for the brilliant playmaker.

19 y/o striker to outstanding

next week I expect my other 19 y/o and one of my 18 y/o's to hit outstanding

my 17 american should hit formidable as well.

the other 2 18 y/o's have a way to go. one's solid+3 and the other is a youth pull who was passable scoring. both have solid passing

form could've been much better. but it could've been worse in regards to starters considering the nasty form trend I've had the last 2 weeks so I'm content.

form made my league match this week a tad bit tougher. Despite home field, I think form put me as the underdog. both teams should MOTS.

No-one popped, nor did I expect them too.

4 weeks before 2 of my 20yo guys pop to outstanding.

5 weeks before my 17yo hits outstanding

Formwise

starters +0/-2 not great, but all of my guys are probably at their max form anyways.

Backups +3/-2

13 of my players have solid or better form.
6 of my players have inad or worse form.

I have 500k in cash.

My boys are really dying to lose to lytic this week:

Form -6/+1

No increases in scoring or experience. Not to mention that my 'shelved' outstanding striker hasn't made any step towards getting rid of his wretched form so that I can sell him. Lazy bastard!

Bought a 17 yo passable PM yesterday for 25K and played him towards middle in my FOFC cup match.

Today, he popped to solid and will be going on the market tomorrow.

An 18 yo IM popped to excellent.

Form was +2/-5 - but scrubs absorbed most of the drops.

w00t! I have my first ever Formidable players...and there's two of them

Alan Sever, 18 yo Formidable PM, no secondaries
Casey Nava, 20 yo Formidable PM, Weak Passing (hey, better than nothing )

Quite excited about it. When would you guys sell Nava? My other trainees:

2 19 yo Excellents
2 17 yo high Passables

EDIT - I should note that Nava is 'Unpredictable,' with Wretched Defense, and gives up a goal to the opponents about once every three or four games.

I had 18yo Pierre Wellens bump to formidable playmaking to go along with his solid wing skill. I'm really not sure what to do with im. He's only 18 so I can train him at least another year to brilliant but that solid wing skill just isn't helping his trade value at all. Anyone with a similar quandry?

Damn, I hate those 17yo slackers who "only" have excellent.

I just sold a 26yo outstanding playmaker with excellent stamina and not much else for a smidge over $2M but I think I got really lucky- to get something like $2.5-3M for him, you'll probably have to put him out on the wire more than once, but I bet you can get something like that for him if you have a couple of weeks to burn.

Net form was +6
Net value was +173k

And (drum roll please), the biggest news of the update, stud 17 year old GK Jonathan Dixon went up 150k in value and is now worth over 1 million!
Unfortunately, the other GK I have (20 year old excellent Robin Gaither) got a 3 week injury in my friendly on Wednesday, so I guess I'll pull a GK this week and see what I get....

Not a bad update, not bad at all...

Form: +3 / -6 overall for players but +3 / -7 in levels, bleh
** good news is +1 / -2 for starters, so the impact is not as big for the league game...

2 Playmaking pops!!!

Per Rossten popped to formidable playmaking. That was sort of unexpected, since it took him 8 weeks of inner mid training and 3 weeks at winger, for a theoretical total of 9.5 weeks. At 21 and with my passable coach slowing him down a little, I expected him to take around 11 weeks to pop, so it was a nice surprise to see this pop this morning. At 21, he was not part of the future plans of the team in terms of training. He will hit the market today around noon eastern and with the money garnered from his sale, the Dragons will convert Quentin Doaré, newly popped to solid experience with passable leadership, as the new coach of the club. Here is Per's player card:

Per Rossten (5130881)
21 years, solid form, healthy A pleasant guy who is balanced and honest.
Has poor experience and passable leadership abilities.

Nationality: Sverige
Assessed value: 606 000 C$
Wage: 3 192 C$/week including 20% Bonus
Owner: Cerio's Dragons FC
Warnings: 1

Stamina: formidable Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: formidable Passing: inadequate
Winger: poor Defending: wretched
Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: wretched

Second pop went to newly acquired wingback extraordinaire/winger trainee, Reuven Zaltzman. Reuven had his very first week of playmaking training this week, and it wasn't even a full week, as he played winger in last Wednesday's friendly. Well, that 50% thing about being trained in playmaking while playing winger, well they never told Reuven about it, or he had already learned some playmaking in his former youth squad, because he popped to solid playmaking in that first week. WOOT!!! Here's his player card:

Reuven Zaltzman (22697681)
18 years, weak form, healthy A controversial person who is balanced and honest.
Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities.

Nationality: Israel
Assessed value: 492 000 C$
Wage: 4 800 C$/week including 20% Bonus
Owner: Cerio's Dragons FC
Warnings: 0

Stamina: passable Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: solid Passing: wretched
Winger: inadequate Defending: excellent
Scoring: inadequate Set Pieces: poor

Reuven was projected as a wingback trainee for when the team would switch to winger training, but with that solid playmaking, and his already passable stamina, he may also be useful as a winger toward middle when the need may come, and he'd still get some winger training...

What about playing him as an Offensive CD in league games?

That could be done right now, but I have another better player for that. Meet Reimund Brigg:

Reimund Brigg (16971124)
21 years, solid form, healthy A nasty fellow who is fiery and dishonest.
Has wretched experience and inadequate leadership abilities.

Nationality: Deutschland
Assessed value: 1 468 000 C$
Wage: 7 056 C$/week including 20% Bonus
Owner: Cerio's Dragons FC
Warnings: 2

Stamina: excellent Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: excellent Passing: solid
Winger: wretched Defending: solid
Scoring: weak Set Pieces: disastrous

Reimund's excellent playmaking is excellent+3.5 and he plays offensive centreback in league games and inner mid in friendlies

As far as Z-Man goes, the reason why he'll play wingback once I make the switch to winger training is because I want him to benefit from the 50% winger training that wingbacks get... Slowly but surely, I'll bring that inadequate winger skill to some more respectable levels and he'll be an awesome player to sell back when he's solid winger/solid playmaker/excellent defender...

dola, but playing Brigg at inner mid and Z-Man as offensive centreback on league day, then play Z-Man at wingback on Wednesday, never thought about this. Good point!

Form was OK, but the good news.

17 YO American popped to Outstanding Winger, and I've been informed he's got a pretty good shot of making the U-20 team eventually.
