VB: Private message receipts
Is there any way to tun this feature off? I cannot fathom any circumstance where I would actually want to receive a receipt from someone getting my PM, but to decline this option, I have to click an extra button every time I send a PM. (Yes, I know... woe is me)
Any way to hack this away? Would anyone mind if there were and we did so here? |

I have no need for the return receipts either.

Or at the very least, change the responses to "Yes" and "No" instead of "OK" and "Cancel".
The idea of clicking Cancel when you want to go ahead with an action (sending a PM) is extremely unintuitive.

I have disabled the feature.
Could somebody test it out to see if it is working properly. |

Now can try again to turn off the tooltip-like popups every time one moves the cursor over the thread title, please?

I am not understanding. Am I the only one that finds this very annoying and distracting? How an option or perhaps a separate style, if it's not too much trouble?

Which is the only reason I have ever asked for a read receipt, because I automatically click "Ok". |

It must be your style of browsing, because I rarely even see the pop-up thread previews. I wouldn't miss them if they went away, but they don't bother me now. The QOTM, on the other hand, I miss very much. |

My thoughts exactly. If people would go for thread titles a little more descriptive than "Wow" or "question" I could letting it go... as it is now, though, it's a feature I love.

I'm with Bucc. The delay is set to quickly and the pop up appears before I have a chance to even read the thread title. If the delay was longer I wouldn't find it annoying at all. |

I know it's a moot point now, but just fyi, this exact issue (word for word) came up 2-3 months ago in the vB support forums. It was debated fairly heavily, but the bottom line was that the OK/Cancel phrasing is a function of javascript and IE, not the forum software, and it is impossible to change (short of recompiling js and getting Microsoft to release an IE patch). Even if anybody wanted to change it (and most did), you can't. |
