Still think I should of had some points knocked off for scoring an exact score. Maybe it can be an added rule for next year. Kind of like how the BCS is always changing their rules.

Unless I took 16 or more points off your score for an exact prediction, it wouldn't have mattered. If it helps, I was considering a -10 bonus for an exact score when I thought up the rules, so it wouldn't have helped you if I did that anyway.

Next year, I want to do it for the wholse season. People pick 4 games from each week and make predictions. We can discuss rule changes for that.

Wow-I started 28th, and worked my way to the top-10. By the way Sab, I would love to do the same thing for the entire season.

It would have mattered because I had to choose such an odd score that had more than 8 pts. of difference from what Silver Owl had in the Super Bowl. Just giving ideas for next time, that's all.

Which raises another issue. By the end of the game, the order in which people post is important. Ex.: If player A is in first place ahead of player B (who is his only real competition), then A can wait for B to post and then post the exact same prediction.

I figured that would happen...but it didn't. I guess Silver Owl isn't THAT smart.

How about next year, we send them by PM and after the deadline passes, I'll post everyone's predicts?

Good idea about the PM, I waited unti Silverowl posted and picked a score that would give me a chance to win based on it being different enough from his prediction. Of course, that didn't work out, but I think PM's is a better way to do this if you are willing.

I actually thought about that but, if Player B would have chosen the team that I thought would lose and I had picked the same thing then everyone from 12th place on up would have had a chance to overtake me. There were also 2 teams tied for 2nd so unless both of those teams picked the same thing I would have had to make a choice.

So I went with who I thought would win the game instead of trying to outsmart myself.

When I went to make my pick I, it just so happened that you posted before me and picked the exact same score I was going to use. So I had to alter it to make it a difference that I could beat you with. And since yoiu chose the Pats, I was even in more of a bind because I had them winning the whole thing from the beginning of the playoffs.
