Mozilla FireFox 0.8 released

Firebird 0.8 has been renamed to FireFox 0.8 and released. Thought some of you would be interested.

REALLY great upgrade. I love it. It's even faster than Firebird!

Yea, their FTP is hammered, probably.

Yup great upgrade, I really like it so far, and now that the tabbrowser extension is available, it just got way better.

Yeah, really great. I now have to do an install instead of just unzipping it into whatever folder I like.. and after installing it, the thing won't run since it has no "XBL binding." Whatever the hell that means.. looks like I'm still sticking with Explorer. :P

Prior to installing, you have to disable all your extensions or create a new profile.

So I have to create a new profile in Windows, and use that for FireFox?

Damnit, I just installed Firebird last week and I already need to update it.

Well worth it though.

I didn't and it works perfectly.

My wife likes to listen to music on: launch.yahoo.com/

However, when she tries to load a radio station, the pop-up says, "Sorry we don't support Netscape 6."

Is there something I can do about this, or is there nothing I can do?

That's my one use for IE...launch.yahoo.com. If there's a way to play them in Mozilla, I'd love to know.

Aftre searching around on their site, I found the profile thing.. it works now for me, thanks for the help.

In case anyone else gets this error: go to the properties of the browser's shortcut, and put a "-p" (without the quotes) in the target field, after "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" or whatever you called the setup folder.

The culprit is usually TabBrowser Extensions. There is a new version out which works with FireFox. Google for it, as the standard place to get extensions seems to be down.

I hate, hate, hate Firefox 0.8.

Their new download manager is awful but there is no way you can avoid using it, and the damn browser will not let me download something when I try to "Save link to disk".
