Curse you hattrick

I was just about to bid on a player I was watching for the past 2 hours, when they close the site for 15 minutes (

Yeah, well my alarm didn't go off for some reason this morning at 5:25 AM and I lost a magnificent Keeper for just $4.7 million.

I know that delays happen, usually at the worst possible time, I had a solid scorer going in a bidding war. The delay came this morning, I got the additional hour, but no one else knew that. He was taken off the transfer list, his time had expired, so no one knew he was still available...

Well, your karmic loss is my karmic gain. I was in a bidding war with a guy over a winger and it went down just as I had to go to class. As a result, I have a new bitchin' offensive winger for $1.7M because he didn't get in a bid after that

Magnus Fridin
485 000 US$, 19 years, solid form
Has disastrous experience and passable leadership abilities

Stamina: inadequate Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: poor Passing: solid
Winger: outstanding Defending: wretched
Scoring: weak Set Pieces: inadequate

FYI: If you'd like to pay an exorbitant $2.6M for this offensive winger, he's back up for sale but if no one gets silly dollar signs in front of their eyes from the out/solid offensive combination, he's staying on the Hippos for years to come.

Speaking of which, I've started putting some of my guys out on the market for very high prices and have gotten lucky a couple of times so that's why he's out there. The other one is my stud striker I just got:

Eric Peiffer
488 000 US$, 19 years, passable form
Has wretched experience and inadequate leadership abilities [Technical]

Stamina: weak Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: passable Passing: poor
Winger: inadequate Defending: wretched
Scoring: outstanding Set Pieces: wretched

Our offense is really starting to ramp up. Next buy: replace my old trainee and then it's time to start saving up for a really awesome goalie (who will probably get bought at the end of next season, if possible).

SI, following my training chart, former Hippo Sergio Chapin should be at outstanding winger in about a season and a half, with solid passing & inadequate defending, but he'll also have inadequate playmaking, if I'm not lucky enough and I can get him to passable playmaking by then... A machine I'm telling you, A MACHINE

Even better is I don't plan on selling him before he's at least a brilliant winger, and magnificient is not out of the question

Oh, if he was a middie and not a winger, I would have kept him like I did with all around badass Thomas Little (now 19yo form pm with solid stam, solid pass, and pass sp who came up through our youth squad). But unfortunately I wouldn't get value for Chapin if I trained him- I'd have a solid wing, excellent pm, solid passer which is good, but nothing compared to the brilliant and magnificent middies I'm working on. Obviously I'd love for you to train him for a few season and then sell him, thus getting me a giant bag full of mother club money It's just cool to have a former Hippo youth pull floating around in FOFC.
