FOF5.0B: Multiplayer scout/roster bug?
In the office multiplayer league I run, we just ran training camp and everyone is preparing their turns for exhibition week 1. During the training camp turn run, the computer ran through and adjusted all rosters to hit position minimums. For the 5 human teams, no signings were necessary, but of course the AI teams needed lots of undrafted FAs to fill their rosters out.
However, even though my team has a valid (if overweighted with 61 players) roster coming out of training camp, the scout saw fit to assign starting positions to everyone (acceptable), but also switched me from a 3-4 to a 4-3 defense. This would be acceptable, except that I no longer have NT/SILB/WILB but instead have RDT/LDT/MLB players. In other words, positions got switched. Since ratings are adjusted post-training camp I can't tell if I was penalized for these switches. If I want to go back to a 3-4, I have to switch these guys back. Anyone else seen this?

Did you have an import for the training camp stage? If you had your roster the way you wanted it, but failed to do an import prior to training camp, I could see where this may occur....but if you had a valid import, I wouldn't think that this should happen.

No, all 5 teams had valid imports. One of the other coaches got hit with the reverse switch from 4-3 to 3-4.
The annoying bit is you can play a 3-4 and put an RDT (or LDT) at NT, so there is no reason for the computer to do any position switching and cause the penalties that go with it, or go with switching back to the way you wanted it.

Did the commissioner have "Coach sets game plans" or "Coach sets depth chart" under global options set to yes when he ran the stage?

Nope, everything turned off. The only other time we've had it mess with rosters was when an invalid depth chart / roster was submitted, then the scout takes it's pass. This is the first time we've had it mess with otherwise valid rosters. If the scout agrees with your current 3-4 / 4-3 setting, it doesn't touch a thing. And the only thing it touched is the 3-4 / 4-3 setting, the positions of the DT and ILB players, and the current depth chart. It looks like it decides to set a valid depth chart before the season begins, but instead of waiting for the exhibition week 1 import to make sure submitted rosters are correct, it does it on the training camp export.
