FOF2k4: If this is a result of AI, I'm impressed!
My offense is built around a stud running back running behind a run-oriented O-line. My QB is a savy veteran with a little above average skills; he's nothing fancy but can run all 18 formations and the 2-minute drill to perfection.
I had an 8-5 record and was in line to make the playoffs when my QB gets knocked out for the year. My backup is a 3rd year I drafted that's turning out to be nothing special. But I figured I could still win on the ground. I lose the next 3 and miss the playoffs. My RB, unstoppable in the previous games (and the previous 2 seasons) was completely shut down with apparently the defence wanting the QB to throw to win. Coincidence? |

Things like this make the game a joy to come back to time and time again.
That's very cool.

Karim, I've had a very similar experience. A veteran QB who was idolized, max loyalty, and a lot of good affinities got hurt mid season when I was 8-0. The team just collapsed around my backup QB, he couldn't get anything done, the team didn't respond to him at all, my quality RB didn't run as well, nothing worked. I ended up 9-7 and out of the playoffs.
