i usually play with the cap increase defaulted.
The injury setting at about 100. Though, several people have done more experimenting with the injury setting. Oh, and play on wall streety level of course.

I either play with the cap increase the default or I set it to 0. If I'm running a 30 year career sometimes I just don't want to deal with trying to remember what is and isn't a ridiculous salary years down the road when the cap is way high.

Cap increase: 2.8 to 8.0. (default)
Injuries: 200 Stats are most realistic with 200 injuries, and contracts seem to work best at 2.8/8.0.

Try a cap increase of 0.
All AI teams will be in serious cap trouble within 2 years!

On the other hand, I haven't got enough experience in playing fof2004 to be really sure on this. ![]()

I say yes. I've played a lot of years at 0 cap raise, and I'm pretty confident the computer (and players) don't really adjust accordingly. If I get some supreme rush of enthusiasm, I may load up my biggest career (around 2070) or so, and compare the highest paid players from that last year against 10-20 years earlier. I'm pretty confident the biggest salaries keep rising. |

I've only played 1 serious career. Wall Street setting, standard salary settings, 100 injuries. I turned off the cap raises after a bunch of years, freezing it at nearly 200 million.

So there's a consensus that these sound like solid settings then?

I'm kind of a wuss, so my injuries are at 150 instead of 200. I don't mind a little bit of roster scrambling to get a full lineup each week, but I'm afraid of what would happen at 200... |

Those are the settings I've been using. Haven't touched the cap, and just boosted the injury settings to 200.
