Alright, i am finally fed up and need your help to deal with this problem. I play Americas Army alot(i like destroying illini), but every minute my game is getting minimized bc of a stupid pop-up...it is becoming unplayable, and that is simply not cool. What can i do to stop this horrid plague...in the last 3 hours i have gotten 213 pop-ups... ..please help me, what can i do!!!

Whoa...well. Have you tried Ad-Aware? I think you should look into other pop-up software online too...

I had initially thought there were pop-ups in the game itself...well. Don't have it installed or anything, haven't gotten around to playing it.

Try this > It worked for me. That is if its the same type of pop ups I was having trouble with windows XP

Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services
Browse the list until you see "Messenger", right click & select 'Stop'. Double-click for Properties and select 'Disable' in the 'Startup Type' drop down.

I don't think they're browser popups because they wouldn't minimize your game, so it must be messenger spam.

Go here: http://www.accessky.net/Howtodisable...rservice.shtml to learn how to turn it off

Dola....
IF that does not work try ad aware like Huckarez said or Spybot search and destroy. The combination of these 3 things had almost eliminated my pop problems....knock on wood

IE Browser stuff? I personally use Google's toolbar to block the pop-ups from then and there.

Same here. Google toolbar works great for me too. You can even opt-in to pop-ups on pages that you want them on.

I just recently switched to Mozilla and have never had a single pop-up. I didn't want to uninstall Kazaa and my switch has paid off.

I swear, if the next version of IE doesn't include pop-up blockers I'm going to go ballistic...

Well just using Mozilla won't keep you from getting pop ups, but Mozilla is better.

Google toolbar is the best I've used thus far. It stops everything and then some, plus it has alot of other nice features.

Dreaming of a day when you make it hard to kill you, yes.
