Angry Just Back from UAW Daimler Chrysler 400!: or Where an who took my jacket .

The Nascar race here in LV has for the past 3 years been a family tradition between me and my younger brother . We look forward to each spring race and the athmosphere that it creates .
This year waas no different, We watched as modern charioteers raced around the track until one came out the victor .
We also met and had memorabilia signed by the following drivers :
Sterling Marlin
Scott Riggs
Robbie Gordon
Kevi Harvick

It was a great weekend that brought about a severe case of sunburn and as the event ended we rejoiced about aother awesome weekend that was unsurpossed by nothing else until......\
I own a Budweiser Jacket that I bought at a race last year ..
as the race ended I placed the jacket beside me to pick up my bag that I had placed on the ground and when I grabbed for my jacket ....to my surprise .....It was gone . I was mortified and desperately searched in vain for my jacket but to no avail ....We wandered the track till around 5 pm. when we gave up hope and left our name at the lost and found section .
Luckly I had my name and address on the jacket and I just hope someone who ''found'' it will have the strenght in their heart to give it back to me No questions asked .

What irritates me is that someone out there has my jacket and hopefully doesnt realize its his . Im praying that I see my jacket again but we will have to see . To my surprise many people had the same experience today . Some even having 600$ worht of merchandise taken from them ....sickens me that people go to events to jack someone's stuff .I didnt realize it happened that much at a sporting event .

unfortunately, when you put 150,000 people into grandstands side by side in the heat where everyone just wants to take sutff of with nowhere to really put it, thieves eyes light up. Its so amazingly easy to just grab stuff on the walk by as people are focused on dressing their kids or grabbing other stuff (in your situation)

I'm sorry you had this experience at a NASCAR event, it saddens me that fans of my favorite sport would be that way. Unfortunately, as all sports memorabilia and clothing gets its prices jacked higher and higher each year, it simply promotes this type of thing. "why buy when I can fly" as a friend of mine said once when I cornered him about a 10$ theft at a football game.

he's no longer a friend, I just couldn't deal with that.

How 'bout that Matt Kenseth?! Sorry to hear your day wasn't as good as his. By the way, if you could have gotten Jimmy Spencer's autograph, you could have had the hothead trifecta!!!

Good News!
Someone at the track found my jacket while dumping some trash out early this morning ...and he has called me and returned it to me . Though it smells like beer and refuse Im still greatful for the worker . Though I still am baffled by who could have put it in the trash . Oh well at least I have a happy ending and pictures will be posted soon of me and my jacket .

Dola: Well the race was pretty enjoyable except I would have liked to have seen more passing and door to door bumping but hey its a cookie cutter track .
A good race overall though with 4-5 major paces almost right in front of me .

I had a feeling Kenseth would repeat ....specially when him and Dale Jr . were talking after the pre-race ceremonies .
Through my bino's Matt really looked confident compared to Jr. who looked dejected right before the race started .

Good to hear you got your jacket back. Go buy a couple gallons of Febreze.
