Actually, had no problem with the results, was just surprised to see the swing (and when I saw the cause of the swing, I shrugged and said.. "you live with the bull, you take the horns every now and then" and prepared to enter Ryan's information into P4E when it finished. But the thread devolved into banal idiocy VERY quickly, and figured I'd go for the laugh in removing it

If it was banal than you should have expected it. I mean, that is the very nature of things "banal", isn't it?

This caused Sack to be very upset, and caused much hilarity there and backlash here as well.

No, THEY (IHOF) did not. That's what everybody is getting wrong.

a charging Rhino is pretty fucking serious.....

as far as the election goes, that looks like a fairly legitimate source of voting behavior. Surely you did not have the utopian dream of an issue/position based election did you?

Darn, I missed out on this whole thing.

Does it rival the Video Games thread debacle? That's the standard any thread of no important has to shoot for to become a classic in my books.

In all seriousness, do we have any actual evidence that the "IHOF block" caused the swing? I do not think 30 owners came over here and voted against him. I (and someone else) were on record as having voted for him. I think some voted against him, he happened to lose, and then flipped out and decided to connect A and B, even though tons of other factors were involved.

Also, I'm not even sure the entire league regularly checks the IHOF boards. About half the league never really posts there.

I feel the same way (and was writing that while a ton of other messages were posted). I really feel IHOF is being incorrectly fingered here, and the results of the run-off were probably much more legit than SackAttack or SirFozzie believes.

SackAttack freaked out, ate a kitten, then stabbed a girl scout (IN UNIFORM!) with a mechanical pencil.

top that

*chuckles at the banal sex joke*

well, considering that it was 21-11 Sack when I left and 33-21 Ryan when I got back, and that the Sack Appeal (did I just type that?) happened in between.. Sack can probably be forgiven for thinking that the two are related.

Well, I voted FOR SackAttack. I don't think you're remembering the numbers correctly.

I'm confident that I saw SackAttacks message within 5 minutes of him posting it (i'm pretty much always on the IHOF board), came here to vote for him, and the vote was within 2 (I believe SackAttack was down 2 after my vote).

Why do good threads have to die before their time? Damn good thread murderers! Taking away the good stuff leaving us with half a dozen threads about T. Owens and hockey.
