Dolphins likely to acquire WR D. Boston by Monday

The news was broken today by WQAM's Hank Goldberg and ESPN has an article about it as well (though it does not go so far as to say its close to a done deal: ESPN ). Further, rumor has it on Finheaven.com that the deal will be consummated with the Fins only giving up a conditional 7th rounder.

While Boston may have several issues, I think this is a great move in giving up only a 7th rounder for a player of his caliber. Especially for the Fins, who are in dire need of another quality receiver.

For some reason I thought Boston should end up with the Patriots.

(Like Washington with the Redskins)

Not that I'd particularly want either Moss or Boston on my team, but the difference between giving up a 7th rounder and half of the team (as was the rumor for Moss) makes the Boston deal a no-brainer. Assuming you had to take one of them, that is...

As if the offense for the Chargers could get any worse...they went there.

Really questionable move by San Diego, especially if they draft a QB with there pick. Boston was a problem, but with somebody other then Schottenheimer he could of probably been controled.

Ah yes. Yet another move by the Dolphins that horrifies me.

Nice going, guys! Please, Zach, leave them so I can root against them without reservation...

WOW.
And everyone thought it was perhaps the best FA move last year (for San Diego).
One year and exit.

Maybe Mr. Noble's fictional dynasty has come true.

Here's a prediction for the Chargers. They sign Kitna to be their quarterback, swap picks with Arizona and draft OT Robert Gallery, then draft the best receiver available with their second round pick. I think that's the makings of a pretty decent offense.

I think they had the same line of thinking when they drafted Brees, drafted Tomlinson, and then signed Boston. It doesn't always end up as good it appears. Kitna is not the long term answer, San Diego is a team that desperately needs someone that can play QB for them for the next 5 years or longer. They can draft Gallery this year, but at some point they really need to address the QB situation, they won't have a decent offense until they do.

wow. it's 50-50 whether Boston recovers to be a top WR or implodes completely.. but Dolphins will get a LOT better with this..

question is.. what does this do to their salary cap?

Yeah, looks fine for Fins. Now everybody needs to redo their mock drafts on Miami since WR was top pick in almost all of them.

...and if this doesn't work, well, Oronde Gadsden should be still available

I thought they just shut down that company .

I wish I had the ear of Cam Cameron right now. Maybe I'll make a few phone calls.

This much is true. However, I would think it would be nice to give LT a break now and then. Like maybe 3 plays a half.
