Question Who Pre-ordered ootp6?

I was going to take a "wait and see" attitude with ootp this year, but if I'm going to save $9 I figured I'd better get this thing pre-ordered.

Smart move by Markus, imo.

I'm going to get it at one time or another, so I figured there's no reason not to preorder it.

A better question is: Who didn't preorder OOTP6?

I'll be buying it. But I didn't want to plunk down the cash until I hear more about it.

I was thinking the same thing. I thought, I know when it comes out, I'll get it sooner or later, might as well save the $$$.

When OOTP5 came out, I said I wasn't going to buy it. I was going with Puresim 2003 instead (Because I prefered the first Puresim to OOTP4). SO that's what I did....

But I did eventually buy OOTP5. I know at some point I'll end up getting OOTP6, and with the slow pace of TPBaseball (which is totally understandable as Shaun needs to keep his day job...man has a big family. ), OOTP6 is almost a definate. Even if I wasn't going to get it the day it came out.

So I decided to jump on the preorder and save myself the $9.

I decided to preorder as well. I knew I was going to get it eventually, so why not now?

The online league I am in is likely to make the switch to OOTP6 so it was a no brainer to get it now and save the $9.

I didn't know OOTP was offering a discount for pre-orders this year. Thanks for pointing it out. I'll probably pre-order it because I'm sure I'll end up buying it anyways.

I really shouldn't be getting it now as I don't have the money - but, like most, I know I'll get it eventually, so I might as well save the money and pre-order.

I've got a threadjacking question: When will OOTP6 come out? I never ordered ootp5 so... if I want to play a baseball game this spring/summer, should I stick with ootp4, upgrade to ootp5, or wait until ootp6???

I seem to be having the same trouble with OOTP that I did with FOF2004. I can't afford to get it right now. Hopefully I'll save up some money when it's released to buy it.

Besides, where the hell are all the graphics?

i think i just might do it, i just got my .400 Studios newsletter today and for some reason that has pushed me towards it. I am not going to try TPB, i know the Puresim guy is doing it, but that company is just not on my good side and was a little sickened by the newsletter. Nothing like going with the other guy who they should have kept on thier team! Also, i have gotten the last 2 OOTP's and love the game. And hopefully Jim will make a baseball game for next year, so i can justify the purchase to my wife, who wonders why i buy "the same game" every year, after all "isn't it just the same thing?" Stinkin' women, why don't they understand?

8 people...that explains the strike.

Speaking of strike...that should be a new feature in all text based sims. Your league will strike...prohibiting you to play until you hit the "next day" button about 300 times.

Think of the replay value!

I am intrigued by OOTP 6. I purchased 5 and before that, STB. I like playing, though it's hard to put that much time into several games. I will watch you guys talk about it (Buc drool over it) and see if it is worth me stepping up to the next version.

Well, due to some $$$ issues, I decided to return my license. It stinks not saving the $9, but I'm the goof who recieved a ticket from the law.

I have so many games I'm playing right now anyway. It'll be good to see the initial comments on the game and maybe a patch or two before I can purchase it.

Also, returned my Fight Night 2004 order.

I preordered on Friday. I'd like to actually have the game sometime soon. Not that I'm rushing..okay, so I am. It's baseball season and I guess I want to get engrossed. MVP is cool, but its got so many flaws and lacks the customization I'm used to with OOTP that I want to get back into it.

Don't you read the OOTP boards? Now that they have your preorder money the entire company is kickin' it in cancun and sippin' frozen drinks right now.

hehe...yeah, I was kinda thinking that the preordering was just one way for them to ensure people were locked into the game and then it would take them longer to release it. Interesting scheme.

I pre ordered it. I am looking forward to it as MVP just isn't enough for me in terms of realistic simulation. The $9 saved is nice and I heard it will be out by Thursday (the 15th) at the latest. Any confirmation on this date?

I was just thinking it would be nice for us to have an FOFC league, sort of like the two FOF FOFC leagues. I would go for one like that, one that I at least knew a few people.

With just about every baseball feature in ootp6, I'm ready for a league.

Wonder if any interest is here at FOFC?

If so, I'm the Cardinals!

I don't have the power... I got sucked in and jumped on the pre-release discount yesterday. As it began to sound like something I'd really want to have, the idea of saving almost $10 was too much to refuse...
