Selection Sunday just got a little bit uncomfortable for the Miners.

I think they should get in as well, but in no way would I ever bet even a dollar on that.

If a 4th Big 10 team gets in over UTEP the Miner will have been screwed over.

Ugh, the Miners played a terrible game last night. Omar Thomas is usually automatic from down low, yet last night he couldn't hit shit, Jason williams played out of control, and I think Fili Rivera was still feeling the effects of the second degree ankle sprain that he suffered last Saturday. He commited way more turnovers than usual and looked kinda slow...

Don't even get me started on the missed layups and missed free throws. The Miners have no one to blame for this loss but themselves, though I do feel the refs were being unnecessarily picky last night...

I'm certainly going to be sweating during the selection show this afternoon. Even if we don't get in it's been a great season. Going into the year most Miner fans (myself included) would have been happy with a .500 season after the disaster that was last year (6-24). 24-7 and co-WAC champs is nothing to be upset about...

I would love to see that! I don't think you'll have any trouble with BYWho, and the Terps are ripe for the upset. They just beat the #1 team in the country and they're going to coming into the game overconfident. From what I've seen, they don't seem to be a very tall team, so that's going to play right into our hands...

So far 1% of people who've taken the ESPN "Who Will Win it All" poll have said UTEP. More people have said UTEP than teams like Cincinati, Wake Forest, Providence, Texas, and Florida.

Though strangley enough, only .3% of people think that they'll win the Phoenix regional. What the hell exactly those .7% were thinking who picked UTEP to win the tourney without winning their region where thinking, I'm not sure, but I guess that's Miner fans for you.

I haven't checked out the bracket yet, but Utah State didn't get in?? That's a god damned crime...

Yup, it sucks that Hawaii has to play future WAC team Utah State in the first round. It also sucks that Boise State and Rice will have to play each other in the second round of the NIT...

If he leaves, maybe UTEP could hire Dan Monson. Please?

New ping for JeeberD.

I'm flying into DFW on Thursday evening, and out on Tuesday at 6pm. So if you are working on Thursday night, or Tuesday lunch, I can crash the OG party The rest of the time I'll be in Austin. Let me know!

This week I'll be bartending Thursday night. I don't know next weeks schedule yet, but I usually serve on Tuesday days...

Feel free to come in either time.

Cool, so either day looks like it may work! I'll shoot for Thursday night, because I'll probably be damn hungry after flying all day, and good well drinks are always my method for getting over jetlag.
