OT: What the hell is this about Greg Lloyd?!?!?!

SO I am flipping through the channels yesterday, and I stop at Court TV. They are talking about how it was POSSIBLE that the gun Jason Williams used to kill, could have went off because of some twigs, or mud or something (the guy did it ok...leave it alone).

Anyway, I glanced at the scrooling marquee they have. I was suprised as hell when I read that Greg Lloyd (former Steeler LB) was brought to trial for supposedly sticking a gun in his son's mouth.

How fucked up is that?!!? I used to worship this guy when he played. I was trying to find some news article on it, but as of now, i can't. It also said that it was a hung jury. Does that mean they have to try to prosecute again? I am not really sure of the rules...and I watch law and order about 2 times a week.

If anybody has more info, please post.

Damn, I didn't know he was in so much trouble since he stopped playing.

Talk about a dad and husband you didn't want to come home to.

Sad.

Wow.

Greg Lloyd was definately a LB whom I respected. Didn't even know these things were going on!

I remember those days of him and Kevin Greene going all out during games. I think, the last time I heard of him, was that time he broke his leg and was out for a season. Figured, he retired in peace afterwards..

I can remember when the Steelers beat the Colts in the Championship game. NBC made the mistake of interviewing Lloyd in the locker room after the game. I forgot who interviewed or what the exact words were, but Greg said something like:

"We took this game and now we are gonna win the whole muther fukin' thing."

Classic

I still remember "the hit" put on Favre.

Bummer...being in jail that long. Course, I didn't say that he wasn't given a second chance to stay out of jail.
