Continental Football League Super Bowl
The first ever Continental Football League Super Bowl will be held on Tuesday, March 23rd. It will be done with a Live Sim on AIM around 10 PM EST. Stop by for food, games, and chit chat. If you are interested in joining the league (we have three openings) or just want to stop by to hang out with some of your FOFC buddies, please feel free to do so. My name is in the profile.
The match-up is: (Spolier Alert) GridIron's Oregon Ice vs. GoldenEagle's Memphis Express |

hmm..."It will be done with a Live Sim"... very interesting idea. Maybe something to think about for the IHOF Bowl game and/or the upcoming Draft. Anyway, best of luck to the two championship teams and congrats on a great season of Continental Football.

Out of the two leagues that I am in, this is the second time that the commish's team has made it to the Superbowl. Hmmmm...
Hopefully for GE, his team's fate is not similar to that of his predecessor's... ![]() |

Now's certainly the best time to get into the CFL, with free agency and the draft soon to begin...

None. I would not have beat Baltimore. Cleveland got lucky and elimnated them for me and I matched up better with Cleveland. Now, if you would have stayed in the league, then I would have re-simmed if I had played you ![]() (kidding of course) |

The Oregon Ice won a thriller 17-15 in the first ever mtach up! Congrats to GirdIron and thanks to mckerney for doing the play by play. Keep an eye out on the CFL as changes are forthcoming.

*whew* that was a wild finish! What a game for our inaugural CFL Bowl!
Vanegas did some great plays, putting pressure on Urrutia and stopping the 2-point conversion...

A real classic. We should be so lucky to see a real Super Bowl with this kind of action.
Thanks, guys. I inherited a great team. I didn't do a whole lot, except tweak the game plan slightly. The real test will be in free agency and the draft. I think 80% of my team, including my stud RB is a free agent. What's the rule on the franchise tag? ![]() Last edited by Grid Iron : 03-24-2004 at 01:44 AM. |

Yes, though I hope I never see a team in the Super Bowl blow a lead after deciding to punt from their opponents 27. Though Kerry Herod did go out on top. After the victory he announced his retirement, and was named the CFL's first ever Legend of the Game. The press almost must have thought Arizona had a terrible team, being they rewarded Jimmie Ferguson with coach of the year honors after leading them to a 6-10 record. It would seem Portland would have had a slight homefield advantage, playing only about 100 miles away from home. |
