Roy Williams is awesome (subtitled: Greg Davis is not)

Roy Williams, Texas WR, runs a 4.37 on a "soft astroturf/slow track". Leaps 39.5 inches.

Spent his college career within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage.

Someone should tell Malcolm Kelly this, although he already seems to know for the most part.

Right. I think the odds that the Stoops staff hasn't mentioned it 500 times already are pretty slim, don't you?

I remember the whole 1st half of the Holiday Bowl, thinking to myself, "Why aren't they throwing the ball to Williams?" over and over. It wasn't like WSU was blanketing him, either. It was more like some kind of magical "Hide the Opponent's WR" or "Confuse the Opponent's Offensive Coordinator" spell.

UNC is in great shape with Roy Williams as their coach, I wholly concur. Oh... wait...

Yeah, the only ingredient needed for the potion that casts that spell is oxygen with Davis.

4.0 short shuttle
6.7 three cone
11-5 broad jump

This after Fitzgerald's workout that had the scouts rightfully abuzz with

4.47 40
4.27 short shuttle
6.97 three cone
10-1 broad jump

Please note that I can't get the page to load so I'm only giving second-hand info on this thread. Although I've seen the numbers in several places already.

I think you could do a pretty funny NFL Draft skit, where a team - the Vikings would qualify, based on their prior draft highjinx - screws up which WR named Williams they want, and it has a cascade effect. You could go with a "Who's on First?" kind of thing.

"Let's take Williams."

"You mean Williams?"

"No, not that one. The reciever."

"Oh, you mean Williams!"

"No, the other one."

"WILLIAMS?"

"NO! The Husky one."

"The husky one? They're all pretty lean, as I recall."

"I mean the Washington one."

"The Redskins already took Winslow."

EEYYYYAAA!

The combo of Williams and BJ Johnson was wasted more than we will ever know.

Senator -

If it makes you feel worse, Sloan Thomas ran a 4.47 and 4.50, jumped 36.5 inches, had a 4.24 short shuttle and a 6.99 3 cone drill. He didn't broad jump.

Sloan will make an NFL squad in some capacity. The use of the receivers has been criminal.

You're probably right, but hey, whatever works, especially if it's the truth.

I agree. There's nothing wrong with pointing that out to the kids. Mack Brown has made his own bed on that one.

I am glad you found time from lounging in the comforts of Chris Simms nutsack to grace us with that.

And as for the comment, well, I take this one as sort of a promotion from what you usually call people who disagree with you.

I met someone once as well, but I didn't base my life around it.

Texas fans... An odd bunch.

Though there's definitely some passion there. That I respect...

Greg Davis should be thrown in prison for wasting natural resources.
