Newbie Questions
I know these posts are annoying, but I have just a general question.
Do most of you guys call your own plays, or do you let the coach do it? |

This should really be something that is handled via PM...

![]() Me? I let the computer do it. I fall prey to the money play situation. If a play works, I use it over and over and over again, long after the computer's adjusted to it.

I call the offense the computer calls the defense. At the end of the game I dont play prevent so I can keep the other team from bullshit plays...

I usually let the coach handle all playcalling; I will occasionnally jump in if I want to run a specific play, eg go for it on 4th down, run a FB blast from the 1 yd line, etc...
And welcome to the board BTW.

I call every offensive play, and let the computer handle the defense.

And I'm yet another hybrid method ... I call anywhere from 20% to 80% of my own offensive plays & let the computer handle the defense probably 99% of the time. The exception on defense comes almost exclusively in situations where I can't do any serious harm (i.e. last 3 mins, up by 35 pts, etc)

This actually raises a question: For those who don't call defensive plays, why not?

What I meant was, out of 6 responses, 3 people said that they call offensive plays, but not defensive. Why?
Personally, I feel like the interface for calling defensive plays is kind of awkward, and makes defensive playcalling unrewarding. I wonder what other people's experience is? |

I don't call defensive plays because it usually gets my ass kicked. Repeatedly.
Apparently my DC is a lot smarter than I am. |

Also.. there are a couple thousand combinations of offensive plays in most games, and not so many defensive options.
