Selected parts of Richard Clarke's book

http://slate.msn.com/id/2097803/

Most of it is probably known, but that article has a summary of some different passages. The author seems somewhat slanted against Bush, but so is Clarke's book. Interesting that he brings up the possible Al-Qaeda/OKC connection
Quote:
On Page 127, Clarke notes that it's possible that al-Qaida operatives in the Philippines "taught Terry Nichols how to blow up the Oklahoma Federal Building." Intelligence places Nichols there on the same days as Ramzi Yousef, and "we do know that Nichols's bombs did not work before his Philippines stay and were deadly when he returned."

When he suggested that Rice had no idea what Al-Qaeda was, he lost all credibility to me.
