Hi everyone,
Just looking for an opinion on the board. I only have enough for one of these games right now (going to school, such and such), and I was wondering if you were in my shoes which game would you pick? Out of the Park Baseball 6 or Fast Break College Basketball? The actual sport of the sim doesn't make a difference to me, because I play them all. So I guess I'm looking for overall gameplay. The hype for Fast Break around these boards recently has been huge and hard to deny ... but then again, OOTP, while not having released yet, when it does is proven and pretty much guaranteed to give me my moneys worth. So I leave it to you guys to help me decide. If you feel like it (and by all means, please feel like it) post and explain your answer a bit. Thanks ![]()

I would say FBCB, especially if you already have OOTP5.

Try the 3-day fully functional trial of FBCB. At the end, you should know how much you like it and OOTP6 should hopefully have some reviews to make sure nothing is completely messed up from past versions.

You realize the inherent contradiction in your last poll option don't you?

If you're planning on buying right now, to me the choice is obvious: FBCB. Most games take at least a patch or two to get fully up to snuff, and I'd expect that will be the case with OOTP6. There's always time to buy OOTP6 later, pending reviews.

I said FBCB because it is a stellar game that is highly stable right now. While I don't doubt Markus' ability, OOTP6 is a brand new engine that will likely have some problems which will take time to iron out. Factor in that the game isn't even released yet, and the time it will take to work out the kinks and that will be a significant amount of time that you could have been playing and enjoying FBCB. Furthermore, hopefully by the time the kinks are worked out of OOTP6, you will have the money to purchase it, if the reviews make you believe it is worth the money.

i wanted to vote "forget the games and the girlfriend and use the money to go and try to pick up some other chick for a one night stand"
but i didn't see that one. I went with FBCB, OOTP can wait for a few months i would think, by then you will know what most think of it, and any patches needed will be out.
