OOTP Boards

I don't go over there too often, but I just did and got this message:

"CGI-limits reached, please try again later!"

Is this unusual for them? Is something happening that is overloading the boards?

Ooops, I forgot to add that I don't go over there often, either.

I just tried again and it works fine. I tried several times for five minutes and got the error message, but as soon as I post this thread, it starts working.

And now that I've said that, I'm getting the error again.

Quick question for OOTP players:

I own OOPT4,and recently tried to install and run it, I couldn't get a license, so I emailed support and they reassigned a license for me, now I get this error message every time I click on the icon, nothing happens for a few seconds then this:

"We're sorry, a license could not be obtained, please try again later"

Anyone else know what this is caused by and perhaps what I can do to fix it? I miss my baseball sim =(

No, but I'll let you have OOTP5 for a song.

Considering the crop of yo-yos that infest the .400 boards.. I can understand the meaning behind that error message..

When they talk about their CGI-Limits being reached, it's because the board is filled with...

Computer
Generated
Idiots.

.400's board not much better

Im somewhat amused that people here think this board is free from the idiots that infest other boards- I think the big advantage here is the no aliases, but the signal to noise ratio isn't that different...

John, as for the CGi limits- ask Rizon about it- and ask him about the "thong thread"..

Actually I think that the big reason why there are more yahoos over there is because it is an 'Official' board. Thus, the mods tend to tolerate a lot of stuff there that they shouldn't in the name of not running off potential customers.

BWWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH!!

*wiping tears from eyes*

That's a good one.

Actually, most of the weirdness people have here is planned insanity. The stuff there is just plain stupidity.

Eh- I beg to differ. Like I said- the aliases are not a problem here, but I think the OOTP boards are fairly similar in signal to noise as opposed to this one- if you're talking about .400, I would agree with you. When it comes to trolls though- this place is as bad - hell, I can think of as many here as there. In terms of quality, I see as many intelligent discussions (if not more) over there - and usually, I think political discussions go a little better. I do find that people seem to think this board is above the fray, but I don't believe that- it has some benefit, as Hammer mentioned, from not being an offical board and being off-topic, but its not much of a difference.

When is OOTP 6 going to be out anyway? Isn't it a little late this year?

Yeah, but Markus said it'd be later this year.

Last official word was when it's tested and ready.

Last guess was somewhere around the 15th.

There are as many quality posters over there as there are here. However, there is so much more crap to wade through to get to anything good, it is just not worth the effort. I think a lot of the cross posters (basically, guys like Hammer, who post a lot there, but still come here on occassion) are quality posters. That's my feel good post of the month. No go screw yourselves.

Great.. Just as tax season is ending for me .

You'll have to excuse me, but I've pretty much been in a cave the last 3 and a half months or so now. Not really a question of when it comes out, just the progress on it.
