Front Office Hockey??

Hey guys, I am new here. Just wondering if there was any plans for Jim to develop a hockey sim.

Welcome aboard, Seabass.

There is a great deal of speculation (and inside jokes) about Jim's next game. Current thinking ranges across the board, but TCY2 is a solid possibility. Hockey, baseball, ... we are all guessing at this point.

Jim doesn't announce new projects until they are almost ready to be released. He has been planning on creating a sim in another sport for awhile now so we assume the next sim will be something other than football.

I would bet it would be most likely a baseball sim. They always seem to do well.

If it's hockey you're looking for, the best bet is Eastside Hockey Manager: Franchise Edition. Due out this summer by the folks over at Sigames. Yes, those guys. The guys that brought you the best. sports. sim. ever. Championship Manager. Eastside Hockey is a great freeware sim, probably the best hockey sim out there. SIgames brought the designer, Riz, over and are making a full-blown version of the game. Check out their website and the dozen or so threads here discussing it.

You don't have to listen to him. He is a Red Wings fan. Not that his comments here aren't all true, but we can't go around listening to dead things fans can we?

A Red Wings fan hey? Could be worse, I like the Buffalo Sabres. At least the Dead Wings are in the playoffs.

*cough*

*Osgood*

*cough*

Wait for it.... Wait for it...

You see, if you mention Osgood, sometimes Primer just spotaneously combusts and starts running down the street. It's interesting.

Yes we can't forget Mr. Demitra and his glorius one point per playoff series average. Or the fact that he completely disappears at Joe Louis Arena. If the Wings end up with Demitra that will probably be the best part. He is awful in that arena.

But hey atleast him and Tkachuk tear it up in the regular season. Wheeeeee!

No, the sick hockey gods would be sure to guarantee him 100-point seasons and much playoff success in Detroit.

It's the way of things.

That's not that bad. That's, what, a bit under .5 points a game. That +/- is pretty rough. He should probably try to work on that. Shore up his defensive game a bit while at the Joe. That's not very good.

Well only 3 of those 8 points have come in the last 4 years!
