I am curious what settings you are using when posting to this forum. When I see your posts, they frequently apear in either a different color, font, and/or size than everyone else's. It's not that big of a deal to me to see them (sometimes I need to highlight the text to do so) but it does make me wonder what's up.

Are you deliberately choosing semi-random text formatting just for kicks? Or is this some weird side-effect of the new VB upgrade perhaps? Perhaps just one more odity to annoy those of us who use the Sideline view?

It seems to me that it's just your posts (and perhaps not even all of them) but I'm not certain.

I don't use the Sideline view, so I didn't know it was affecting it adversly. Actually I use Word to spellcheck my post about 75% of the time. When I used the 97 version I didn't have any problems, but I "upgraded" to the XP version recently and it always screws with the format (on top of I have to erase a weird formatting text after I officially post). I'm thinking of going back to 97, because so far I have seen nothing in OfficeXP that I would call an improvement.

Tell me something in the way of a test. Which of these two post look better, or do both of them seem strange on Sideline?

Ok, I'm using sideline now and I see what is happening. The board must automatically change text to the default for the type of skin used unless you choose a particular font color. The cut and paste must set the format at black which is bad for Sideline users.

Hmmm...I need to find an alternative to this. Isn't there a spellchecker you can build that can be used in the message board? I know some boards have them.

Why the worry about spelling, GrantDawg? I mean, you worked hard to earn that title. You wouldn't want to lose it, now, would you?

Well it gets a little old when you write out a lengthy post in reply to something, and instead of responding to what you said, someone points out a spelling error (or a grammar error, or whatever). Even with spell checker things slip under the cracks, but it does at least cut down on the occurances.

I wasn't trying to be critical either... was just curious. Again, it's really no big deal... was just curious how the little formatting tags were getting into your posts - I had trouble believing you were typing them in just to be clever.

Your right, I'm far from clever.

I'm glad you let me know. I just need to find another option.
