looking for a new webhost

I'm using powweb to host my facepacks for OOTP, and it's just not cutting it. the games been out for a couple of weeks, and I'm still getting disabled due to bandwidth restrictions (5 GB per 24 hours).

any recommendations out there for a CHEAP host that can handle a decent amount of bandwidth like that?

Not as cheap as some places, but you get what you pay for:

I've used these guys for the FOBL for going on two years now. Jorge (the owner) is great, and support has always been fantastic.

They can tweak custom packages for you, too, so if you need more bandwidth, but less space than one of their pre-packaged plans, they should be able to work with you.

Check out allin1websolutions.com.

See if they have anything for you. I use them for everything now.

Colossal-CM.com is hosted by allin1websolutions thanks to Dennis's recommendation. Pretty fast and no problems.

I just changed my domain to a new host the other day. They're called Vizaweb. They're great, speedy and the price is right.

Here is their site. http://www.vizaweb.com

You'll likely have to spend upwards of $100 dollars a month to get a dedicated server with more than $150 GB a month.

Just as an example, Allin1 solutions which is supposed to be a very good host only offers 30 GB a month for $25.

Whoa...missed the 24 hour part with regards to the 5 GB bandwidth.

EagleEye's right....no way you're getting colocation for that kind of traffic.

Could you not get it hosted on FilePlanet?

well, it's not sustained 5 gigs/day. more like 1 or 2 on average during this month due to the release of the facepack. normally, it's almost nonexistant (just family pictures up, with a few facepack downloads).

if I can find a good mirror next year, 30-40 gigs is probably plenty, although Dark Cloud's recommendation (70 gigs for their $6/month plan) is looking intriguing...

really, I was caught offguard by the popularity this year. I had no idea it would generate this much traffic and fark my site.

You might want to check with Commish Joe, or with Cooley, both of those have some plans that you can use..
