Loading TCY without an elicense

I recently bought a new PC and just yesterday decided to go ahead and load TCY on it. I bought TCY in July 2001 before they were doing the elicense thing. So you can probably figure out my dilemma by now. The game loaded just fine, but when I went to run it the thing is now asking for my elicense before I can play, which I never had to begin with. I'm waiting to here back from the elicense folks, but in the meantime anyone have any bright ideas on how I can work around this problem?

Did you download the wrong patch? It shouldn't be asking you for an elicense like that.

I remember having to send Jim a buck or something, along with the account number I used to purchase the game and he sent me a copy of the code I needed. Odd how he kept breathing heavy into the phone asking me what color my socks were. He loves orange by the way.
