OT: Three Card Monte puzzle
I'm sure you're all familiar with the game "Three Card Monte". I offer you a choice of three face down playing cards; you try and find the red queen. Of course, the game is rigged at best, and a distractionary tactic for pickpockets at worst.
But consider an "honest" game of Three-Card Monte, where I guarantee you that the red queen is one of the three cards you have to choose from. In addition, I will also allow you to ask me two yes or no questions before you make your selection. The catch is that I will tell you an honest answer once and lie once, with the order randomly determined. Is there a series of questions you can devise to ensure that you will be able to select the red queen 100% of the time?
