what a crazy game. I think the 5th inning took over an hour, the Tigers scored 8 then the Rangers scored 10. Unbelieveable.

10 runs in their half after giving up 8. I couldn't believe. I think a couple of pitchers got in and out without allowing a run.
They deserve a medal.

Eh, it was against the Tigers pitching, you should expect 10 runs in an inning against that staff ![]() |

Even after this, I bet there are STILL people blasting Ben Davis for laying down that bunt hit that broke up Curt Schilling's (?) no-hitter.
For those of you who may not see the connection, people still insist that there's a "code" to the game: things like not stealing bases when the margin is over 5 runs or so, or swinging at a 3-0 pitch with a huge lead, or things like that. There's no such thing as a safe lead, regardless of whether you're the Tigers or anybody else. What ever happened to playing until the umpires go home? Ben Davis (I hope I'm getting his name right) didn't stop playing, and neither did the Rangers last night. "Code of the game," my ass. On a completely unrelated note, go Cardinals!
