Computer problem question

I have been having a problem with my computer at home and was wondering if anyone who maybe worked with hardware might know.I work in the software side of the house and it doesn't seem like that is the problem.Well, whenever I boot up the computer in the morning (cold start) it crashes to desktop after 10 or 15 minutes everyday but never after that!It runs just fine after that initial crash, weird. Also, I have noticed ,not just with cold start but always, when I boot up the computer it instantly crashes within the first second of the reboot before anything comes up on screen but than it reboots itself automatically a millisecond after. So, it does a double beep at reboot instead of one beep(at reboot).Anyone have a guess? Thanks

At first blush, I would say overheating, but that's just a cursory guess. This was more of a bump for other computer-y people.
