Interesting story, and I think it highlights what I like about the ACLU- quite often, it defends the rights/principles that no else wants to, be it due to popularity or their hot button nature. Now, I certainly don't agree with all their cases( I tend to disagree with a lot actually), but I do believe that their cause isn't naturally partistan by nature (its almost like social libertarianism at times). Thoughts ? |

Another case of schools taking their rules to a ridiculous extreme.
This one was fortunate enough to turn out fairly well. Extra points for not asking for money in the complaint. As far as the ACLU goes...they seem to have a knack for shying away from stuff I think is pretty damned important. (Mostly tech related stuff that the EFF won't or can't aid with, among a few other things). Regardless, as I said, I'm glad this one turned out favorably.
