No real hockey fan would root for a team located south of the Mason-Dixie line

Which is basically why I'd have to root for the Flames.

dola

Can't believe that we finally scored on the Flames defense, especially with them protecting a 2-0 lead.

If the Flames win, I'm going to have to call a friend of mine in school even tho it's finals for him. He's from Calgary and a huge Flames fan. He's in Dental school right now and his dream job is NHL team dentist

It's so crazy that's been 10 years since a Canadian team has made the final.

Thats just straight up sad. This is Canada's sport.

Congrats to the Flames, Mikka was great this series.

Good season for the Sharks though. Good luck next year.

Honestly...I think Miika is getting undue credit for the series. He played like CRAP for every game except game 1 (ok, maybe not crap, but no better than above average). Really. His defense in front of him should get the majority of the credit...38 shots on goal for the last two games? Come on...

Man, I never thought the Sharks could get shut down the way the Flamers did to them. We haven't hit double digit shots since game 1 (almost positive) in any single period! Mika Kiprosoff did what he needed to do, but when less than 20 shots are coming at you a game, the pressure recedes. To give credit to the Flames, poor Nabakov had to deal with 30 plus shots everynight, and I think outside of game 2 he did a nice job. Iginla played out of his mind, and I would be surprised if he didn't win the conn-smythe. He's such an instinctive player, I just wish he was playing for the US in the world championships rather than Canada! GO SHARKS in the 2005
