I'm know its early but I'm a little concerned about a few of the numbers I saw. Most of the team powerplay numbers were 10% where it should range from 12-21% and it seemed like there were an aweful lot of assists, especially for defensemen. I'm sure its early and it will be aok by release time.

I thought I mentioned this at FOFC already, but here is the explanation for the odd results in those screenshots : "I turned the match engine off and ran it on holiday." from Graeme Kelly at SI. |

I'm sure FOFCers aren't the only ones noticing the odd results... why not run the real engine before showing the results to the public?

It just seems strange. Don't get me wrong, I've heard nothing but good things about SI and I'll pretty much be buying this game no matter what based on reputation alone.
It just seems odd to post screens that seem to reveal a shaky stat engine, then say "Oh, we'd turned the real engine off for that sim". That sounds almost... .400-ish, doesn't it?

I think riz posted a more detailed explanation in another thread. I think they turned off the stat engine because they just wanted to take screens and get them out, they weren't taking screens for the purpose of showing off the engine.

If you look at the league leaders scoring table, I'm concerned with the number of defensemen who are in the top 20 in the league in scoring.

) ... but no stress basically, obviously with the 'real' match engine working things give out better results - the demo will be available shortly which should suitable reassure you ... |
