OT-Lakers cruise

Garnett still has the Laker monkey on his back. Good job by Karl Malone tonight and Shaq was unstoppable AND hit FT's

Just give them the title now, I'll be surprised if they lose another game. The Wolves looked like a tired team.

The wolves are tired because they got no rest, while I agree the lakers should get more days off it is ridiculous how the TV schedule works and they get that many more than the wolves. Also the lakers didnt cruise, I would say the wolves played well and till teh last minute it was anyones game. I think less turnovers and when they get it to KG, he should either drive or kick out because they trap him and always leave a shooter open whether it is hassel or hoiberg, heck even scerbiack sometimes.

What's ridiculous is how the first round took, what, a month, and then there's one day off in between the semis and conference finals?

If anything the NBA tv schedule is ridiculous because they get to many days off in between games. The NHL plays everyother day in the playoffs and that is a much more demanding sport. It is obvious why the Wolves were tired but they shouldn't change the schedule. The Lakers were well rested because they closed their opponent out in fewer games and hence they were rewarded with some rest, that is how it works in the playoffs.

How about the game being on TNT instead of national TV?

Why dont you read everythign I said. I didnt say the lakers shouldnt have had more time off. Now read it all this time, The lakers got 5 days off the wolves got one. ok still with me? 5-1 = 4 days, the lakers closed their series one game sooner. which means that the one day between games wasnt true for the lakers as it was for the t wolves. so teh lakers in proportion should have had 3 instead of 5 which makes a big diff in health and preparation and also for how tired they are. The T wolves had to play their biggest game and come back in one game, so yah that is their fault because they didnt close it out soon enough but even if the lakers went to 7 they would have had more rest. Basically instead of TNT making the schedule I want the NBA making the schedule so it is fair. so please read the whole thing next time. K thx bye

I read what you said, however, unless everyteam played on the same day someone is allways going to have an extra day off in between series.

Yeah but thats not my point... there werent just one. they got 5 supposed to get 3 5-3=2 in my opinion that means 2 days and I think that an extra day is alot. Also the T wolves are the chapions of teh West conference shouldnt they be given the extra day? even forgetting about that part because that is getting nit picky, tell me who chooses the playoff schedle and there is my quip.

Dola- Thats no excuse the T wolves still lost and that is their fault they should have won. Although cassel sat out teh entire fourth, that was probobly due to his back that could have helped but so could have 5 less turnovers. I think the T wolves have more of a chance then they get credit for.

The T-Wolves went 7 games in their series. Flat out, it's their fault.

They lost the first game in the Kings series too. Just remember it was one game and late in it it was 92-88 when Garnett had a lay-up blocked. Now if the lose on sunday, it is done, but a win and they are right back in it.

Very misleading thread title.

I was hoping it had something to do with a rusty boat and a one way trip to Cuba for the Lakers.

The only team that could hang with The Lake Show were the Spurs...and they lost 4 straight.

Not true. The Pistons and Spurs are very similar teams defensively and offensively, and they are coached by men with the exact same philosophy. I would also submit that after having acquired Rasheed, the Pistons are at a similar talent level player-wise, if not a higher level.

I think the Pistons (if they get past the Pacers) will give the Lakers everything they can handle in a 7 game series.

I am so glad that I had the game on when Karl Malone got ejected. God I hate him. That was a glorious moment.

It's funny how the Lakers can make one root FOR Latrell Sprewell.

A split in Minnesota is fine. Home court advantage is gone.

Another fairly easy game that the Lakers made difficult when they started jacking up shots with 20 second left on the shot clock. I mean, Up by nearly 20 with 4+ to go, why shoot anymore 3's?

*sigh*

NHL is every other day, except when they travel then they usually get 2 days rest I think. So it goes, game 1 then a day rest, game 2 then 2 days rest while they travel to the other city. game 3 then a days rest, game 4 then back to the home city which you get 2 days rest. I can't remember game 5 and 6 and 7 though. Might just be one in each there.

Am I the only one who thought the Wolves lost something when they decided to go to Hack-a-Shaq so early in the fourth? I mean they seemed more concerned with fouling Shaq then trying to score themselves in fourth.
