Are you sure it wasn't "Return of the Cock" - that was a good flick.

The "basic" DVD and VHS versions are already out, but the super-deluxe, 4-DVD extended edition probably won't be out until this fall, probably in prime Xmas-shopping season.

I'm guessing they'll get a lot of double-purchases with people that can't wait to buy the deluxe version buying this more basic one now, and then buying the deluxe one after it comes out. A devious but effective sales strategy...

Easy Mac is right - the basic edition doesn't come out until Tuesday.
and I think most consumers know about the 2 sets. I do, and I gladly have bought both versions of all releases.

I guess my video store didn't understand this. Ah well, loved watching it all the same.

EB started selling them a week early and got busted by WHV (I think), they aren't getting any more videos from them for like a year I think.

Video stores get everything the weekend before. They're not supposed to release anything until Tuesday, but most places will rent them out to customers before then.

Was it on the shelf, or did the guy behind the counter just ask if you wanted it?

Yup, usually not much happens to video chains (the smaller ones) UNLESS it's a Disney flick. They flip out even if its mom and pop's video store.

I know at Wal-Mart, we have the new releases sitting in the back for about a week and a half before the release.

My copy is due for delivery on monday, at least its already here at the post office.

And why would something that is shipped from Indiana come through Kentucky, go down to Columbia, SC, then come back up to Greenville, SC. I mean Greenville is on the way from Kentucky to Columbia.
