For NFL I generally don't have a team. But I'll say the Dolphins

Dolphins 13-3 and win the super bowl.

College Football
Miami 9-2 They lose to Clemson, and either Virgina or G.Tech
Florida State 10-1 National Champions, Only Lost to Miami. And they again start the 2005-2006 with a lost to Miami again.

Side note - We could have two national champions again this season.

ditto. I also think they will be 7-5 or 7-6 and lose the last 3 or 4 straight after looking at the schedule. It should be a classic Jets collapse.

I hope it is not enough to save Edwards and Bradway's job. Until they clean house, there isn't even a chance this team will win a championship.

edit: and Rutgers goes 7-4 and makes a bowl game.

I see the Lions going about .500, give or take one. So, I will go with 8-8, then the following year, make a strong run at the playoffs.

Falcons 7-9, maybe 8-8 if Vick plays all 16, 5-11 if he doesn't.
Colts -- I'll just take a wild stab without looking at the schedule & say 10-6.

Northwestern: 6-6, hopefully going to a bowl, probably won't. If Basanez doesn't suck so bad we could be okay with our dominating lines on both sides of the ball.

49ers: Not very good, but I still like Rattay.

I think the Giants will go about 8-8 if whoever the QB is doesn't struggle. If he does, 6-10.

We have more experience returning than USC and it's going to essentially be a home game. I think we take it in a close game. Miami still doesn't have a QB and we torched them last season. We'll take that game easily.

This Bucs are trying to redefine themselves as we speak. So either they go 12-4 or 4-12....probably closer to the average (8-8)

I think the Falcons are the big "on paper" champions going into this season in the division.

But knowing how wacky the NFL is, Carolina and New Orleans will probably be the 2 teams fighting to the finish...

Falcons: 9-7 (miss playoffs)

Dawgs: 12-1 (one regular season loss, win SEC Championship and Bowl Game)

Tigers: 11-2 (Valiant season despite loss of class with 6 D-1 players. Depends on how brackets fall out, but a loss somewhere around the q-finals.)

Dola,

It'll be good to be back in the US this fall. I've really missed watching live football these past couple of years!

So if we have all these one lost teams in college football who will be the champion? Texas in my opinion will lose at least two games, Virgina Tech three, OU well I haven't been impressed but I see you guys making a run for the title. USC is the only team i know for sure who will play for the title unless Washington State knocks them out other then that it is a smooth ride.

Panthers 10-6, losing in the divisional round of the playoffs.

Don't know enough about college football, go yellow jackets, sort of, but if they lose, eh, who cares.

UNC basketball: 24-8, back in the NCAA tournament for good, and challenging Duke for the ACC title.

The Bears are a tought team to call, but I'm going to say 7-9 again. The difference this time being the team is improving and is headed in a direction that isn't backwards.

I'll take that bet in a heartbeat. With USC trotting out three new starters on the offensive line, VT's defense should be in Leinart's face all game. It'll be a repeat of our game with Miami last year.

VPI will lose at least two games in their last five games of the season:

at Ga. Tech
at UNC
Maryland
Virginia
at Miami

As for my teams:

Falcons: 9-7
Ga Tech: 6-5
Harvard: 7-3
Tucker: 8-2 and we'll see what happens in the play-offs.

12-4, will end up losing in the NFC championship game like always.

Gonna be a bit of a step backwards this year with a young O-line and teams learning how to really slow down our passing game towards the end of last year.

UTEP: 4-7

Certainly going to be better than last year, but we lost a lot of talent on the O-line. We still haven't found a starting QB yet with three guys fighting for that spot. Defense should be much improved, and that should make at least a two win difference...

The AFC North is Bengals v Ravens again, Pittsburgh has too many holes to fill on both side of the ball, Cleveland is a ship without a sail right now.

The key to this division title is the QB situation in both Baltimore and Cincinnati, the ravens just lost their primary backup for most of the season to surgery, so they really have to hope that their "QB of the future" gets his shit together this year.

CIncinnati of course lives and dies on Carson Palmer's play this year, I'm betting he's the real deal, Bengals win 10 possibly 11 games with a majorly ugraded defense protecting them from his mistakes.

Bengals win the division Ravens fight for a wild card and fall short.

Bengals win one playoff game then falter due to inexperience.

Nope... we'll make it 3 straight on Thanksgiving. (Hopefully early enough where I can do the drive to NJ, watch the game, go home and get my turkey)

Actually UConn's schedule matches up very nicely to win at least 7, barring an injury to Dan Orlovsky. If Orlovsky goes down, I'd expect a much worse performance (of course I expected that last year when Caulley went down against VPI). I expect UConn to be favored at Rutgers this year... and win, but it will be a lot tougher then expected.

That said I'm rooting for Rutgers in every game except for Thanksgiving, if both teams can continue to develop, then the Big East's future in football is a lot brighter then people think.
