Dumb Digital photos question

I got all of these digital photos but I am wondering does anyone know of any online place I can make an online album so people relatives and family can check them out.I have found many paid services but I am looking for free sites.Or is there any easy way to email pictures? What do I have to do to them to email them? The files are just too big in standard form? Any suggestions

You can set it up at Yahoo or at www.webshots.com .

You can save them as smaller and/or lower quality images, then email them. If you just want people to be able to see the pictures, you can go to a fairly low resolution. Assuming you keep the original files in high resolution, you can always make prints or email single pictures to people who want them.

I am a HUGE fan of www.ritzpix.com. Easy to share albums with only those you want them to go to (someone has to know one of the e-mail addresses on the invitation list to view the pics), plus people can order prints straight from the page and pick them up at a local Ritz Camera (or Wolf Camera in NC) store with no shipping charges. I've been using this one to send relatives pictures of our baby and it's worked great all around. We do our prints from there as well and they've always been high quality.

I typically upload 4 megapixel images (1 - 2 MB apiece) here and they have no trouble handling the picture size. They shrink them for display in the slideshow, but I can still get high-quality enlargements from the original upload.
