It was. It is nothing against anyone that was there. It's just that there needs to be better planning so that we have large groups split up. I thought this was agreed upon last time.

Well, a couple thoughts on things:

1: when it comes to sheer numbers, its not how many thats the problem, its the way those numbers play/drive. When you are bunched up, don't just pile into the group and slam everyone, get off the gas earlier, break a bit and try to avoid people as best you can, I know its not simple, but you can manage it. This will help avoid everyone getting hammered in turn 1 every damned race =) it sucks for all involved.

2. I keep seeing reports that "server and client have different versions of anti-slider"
this bothers me in the sense that it seems someone is editing their game files for the antislider car. Its easy enough to do, just edit the INI file and poof, better car. the cups seem safe since only the server version of the car is actually used. But I worry that people will go fidling with their files trying to get ahead, so to speak. This makes any league ideas very "honor system" intensive.

3. Get rid of the wacked out bizzaro tracks, play them for fun, but don't load them up for league night. many drivers hate the crossovers, many others hate the half-assed designes with eyeballs and incomplete tracks. I suggest that league matches use only standard, walled in, clean tracks so that it doesn't beceome a mess-fest with everyone getting stuck, slipping and sliding all over hell. (yes I am biased, I HATE arctic....)

4. remember fellas, its just a silly video game with no real value. its something to enjoy and talk smack with our comrades. Keep your sense of humor. I know I'm bad at that and I'll try harder in the future =)

5. Go fast, turn whichever way the G)(&(*^(*^ red markers tell you to.

I can avoid 4-5 cars, not 8+. I stand by my assertion that there should be a cap of 6 racers.

This is very important. We should only allow the four basic cars, in my opinion.

There are quite a few very annoying tracks out there. Some of them are good, but most of them are bad.

I certainly don't place more importance on the game than I should. I tried to have fun playing last night, but when I got rammed into a field on turn one for the 4th straight race, it just wasn't fun anymore. I tried to make my feelings known on this, but I didn't feel anyone was really listening. The puzzling thing is that I thought we all agreed on this point last week? Didn't we?

that damn arctic map.. yuck.. that and the long straightaway with a crossover every 10 feet was annoying...

now, that map with 3 long straights and a 3 loop figure eight.. that was fun.

I'd be in favor of a limit like 8 or 10. Traffic is a part of racing.

i admit chinaski and i coming on and just not getting around the track didn't help... i think we'd do ok now.

I think that's the thing...it doesn't matter if you're racing 6 or if you're racing 10 as long as there's someone who is basically a traffic hazard out there (no offense). If every driver is somewhat competitive, the more the merrier, I say.

None taken, VPI. I know i was a babe amongst the wolves that night...

now, we raced a bit yesterday or the day before and I almost won a race against sovstar and chinaski and i chooked on the final lap...

too much pressure i guess...
