Arena size/VIP seats.
I know this was talked about a while back, but I'm a bit lazy to go looking for it, so I'll post it again. I'm going to be doing a stadium upgrade in the near future, up to 25k or 30k, depending on what people think of having a 30k seater in VI with less than 1000 supporters atm.
Other than that, is the question of VIP seats. I currently am using 3% after what was talked about in the other thread. My question is for those who have 3% with larger stadiums. Is it worthwhile? I know it will generate more income, 5k or more at 25k seats, but do you have any issues with selling them? Should I go to 25k or 30k, considering that I'll be going into pretty deep debt to do it, and 3% makes it cost even more. If my keeper sells that I'm trying to offload I'll have ~100k in the bank plus the ~300k I'm willing to go into debt to do it. Thoughts? Comments? Info please. Tell |

Sometimes I feel like sharing what's hidden in my excel spreadsheet.
Here we go, crowd levels of all my home competitive matches since my second season, first complete season...
I once built a stadium at 3%, when I upgraded to 22k, so it's not completely crazy to do this. However, you can see that at higher numbers, my crowds were much more around 2.3% or 2.4%. My current stadium was built to 60k with 2.5%, then I added 36 VIP seats for my supporters, which gives me the 2.6% you can see now ![]() Going to 30k with less than 1000 supporters may be a bit big, but it all depends on how you think your team will do next season, and especially, at what speed you are adding new fan club members... With a good showing in league, and a steady increase of supporters, you could be selling out that 30k by the end of next season... FM

Right now I have 821 supporters, getting 22 per week. As to next season, it really depends on the last match of this season. I'm sure I'll win mine, but it depends on what the team in first does. If he loses or ties his(don't know this can happen, the team he plays hasn't logged in this week) I will auto promote if I win. If he wins, he'll auto promote. I don't know what he'll do, but I'm assuming I'll be in VI next season again. If that's the case, barring an uber V demotee, I should own the series and promote easily. I figure I'll easily have 1000 supporters around mid season if I don't promote this season.
I'm waiting to see what happens, and my upgrade won't be happening for another week or so, though I might do it before then, depending. I'll probably just go with the 3% on this upgrade, and maybe tune it down a bit on further upgrades in a couple seasons. I guess I just have to see where I'll be playing next season to decide what size to build to. Tell |

The thing that's key, I think, is how frequently you sell out one section of the stadium without selling out others vs. overall sellouts. If none of the sections sell out, then the percentages don't matter all that much, if everything sells out then it's better if you went too high. I went 2.75% VIP seats this time around; my utilization is often under that, but I suspect that my number of sellouts might be large enough that I'm still ahead.
