I am experiencing major problems with my game. It will
not open. I have removed the game and reinstalled the Game but nothing works. I am not having problems with any other program on my computer. The frfoot2004 exec. file will not setup or open. I am running Windows 200 Norton System Works, Sygate Personal Firewall and ATI 9800 Pro Video Card. This is a problem I have never had with FOF before. Any hints as to the problem?? TSD |

Is your setup file bad? Maybe you should try re-downloading the executable?

I completely removed the game and license folder
from my computer and reinstalled. The game would not set up or even attempt to re-license. The files were installed in the Solecismic folder. Not sure what you mean by the elicense is truned off? Thanks for you replies, TSD |

I had a similar thing happen. Turns out, I had ran msconfig and turned off the license stuff. Checking that box and restarting brought everything back to normal.

How do you get to msconfig in windows 2000? I probley have turned
something off. Question is what and where? Win2000 has been rather difficult after Win98 for so long. Thanks for your help tsd |

Start, Run, type 'msconfig', and hit Ok

msconfig is not a default file with Windows 2000, you have to download it and put it in your system32 directory.

OK….I really thank all of you for helping me solve
my FOF problem. Sovereignstar started me looking and then Dutch said it had to be downloaded. I went to Windows Help on the net and didn’t find what I was looking for. So I came back and stated looking. Went to Control Panel, into Admin. Tool, into Component Services scrolled down to Services (Local) and found LiCtrl Service disabled. I got it enabled, ran FOF2004 and off she went. I don’t know this happened but I have been messing with this for over a month. That you all TSD |
