Huge Match for Week 14

Tomorrow night I host this is my team (aka Hamas Mad Bombers). I need to win by three goals.

They crushed me 7-1 in week 1 but my team has improved quite a bit since then. At th e time, I was a defense trainer. A few weeks into this season I made a fortuitous decision to switch to scoring training. Since I made that switch I have outscored my opponents 65-3 which helped me close the goal differential gap.

As you can see, I've finished 2nd two seasons in a row and I'm sick of it. In season 21, I beat the eventual champion in a rematch but couldn't make up the differential. Looks like that could happen again.

Our NSI's hover around the same amount right now. I will be MOTSing with delirious spirit, but I suspect he will be too. It should be interesting. Wish me luck.

I noticed that my opponent has a weak leadership coach. How much will this affect his spirit? How high could his spirit be if he's been PICing every match (which I think he has)?

Unless my math is way off, it looks like he has you by 6 in goal diff, which would mean you'd have to win by 6 in order to win by goals scored(not differential). Am I incorrect in this? Having said that, I wish you all the luck there is, as it will be a tall order to pull off. Here's to all FOFC teams in close series!

Actually, he needs to win by 3. Winning by 3 will add 3 to his goal differential and subtract 3 from first place's, closing the 6 goal gap. He obviously has the goals scored tie breaker locked.

Anyhow, you sound like me! I win, I'm out of my hellhole IV series (only a hellhole because I've been there too long). I've finished top 2 for the past 3 seasons (including a first place + qualification loss) and I am ready to leave the series now! I play a match at home against first place, winner gets auto-promotion.

I did it! Three goals in the last 6 minutes gives me the series title and autopromotion!
