How Many Times Can A Guy Say "I'm Back" Before It Loses All Meaning?

I don't know that anyone here who isn't otherwise attached to me in my online leagues will have noticed anything but a sudden loss of long-winded responses at the forum, but I was bumped off the Internet Thursday night and wasn't able to get restored until this morning.

Adelphia, my broadband cable service, had problems throughout California that caused Internet shutdown through Saturday. When the system went back up, though, my modem stayed down. I couldn't get a cable guy out here until Mondauy morning, of course.

Obviously, whatever problem they had must have fried my modem or something (since the solution was simply to hook up a new modem). Well, the cable guy said he thought it was just a coincidence. Yeah...I'll buy that...

I think the thing that pissed me off the most is that it happened at the worst time (of course), with a critical spring training being run in one of my OOTPO5 leagues, a key offseason/free agency in the other, and Week One, of IHOF. I can only pray the seven cuts the computer did for me for Week One were ones I wanted to do.

Anway, if anyone was looking for me, sorry I couldn't get in contact with you.

Did anyone else read the subject and worry for a moment that Jordan was unretiring again?

Man, I'm sorry to hear that Chief Rum. That's a horrible way to go into the IHOF season

Heh...and you benefited! SLO 17, Anaheim 14.

Well, I don't know that I would have made a difference, but it's possible.

Shoot. Is this why my connection is super slow right now? I'm with Adelphia too.

Ah ha! The number 8 is back. I was wondering why my calculator froze up when I asked it what 2 to the 3rd power was.
