I know I overpaid..but it was worth it.
I was going to tack this along in another thread, but then I realized it wouldn't have been relevant so.....
I bought a player today, paid a lot of money, overpaid, but it was worth it. When I checked HAM to see how much I overpaid, there were no other suitiable comparisons. Interestingly, he is a young Formidable/passable striker, who, by looking at his form and ratings I bet he is one week shy of a solid passing rating. Anyway, scored a hattrick in the friendly tonight. Needless to say I am happy. In fact my new young winger scored a hattrick as well, we beat up on a D.V (of VII) team from Portugal. Final score was 10-0. My greatest ever rout. Already looking forward to the new season. I hope that I didn't kill my midfield too badly, and I really hope the new engine likes players with good secondary skills. I don't think we will make III this season but it is the goal 2 seasons from now.
