TCY - Double Wing offense

Has anyone ever used this formation to run a option-type offense? Texas has used this formation during my entire dynasty and they always have ridiculous QB rushing numbers. Like in the first year...their QB won national player of the year when he threw for over 2000 yards and 20 TD's and then rushed for over 1600 yards and 19 TD's. Then the first time I played against them...because of injuries they had used two QB's throughout the year and both of them had rushed for 800 yards each by the time I played them in the playoffs.

So it seems to me like this offense allowed the QB to get the best rushing numbers...has anyone else noticed this or had success with any other formation?

I've had a lot of success with double wing. Sometimes I run the option, other times I make the FB the primary runner. I also throw more passes with it.

If you have a running QB, he will put up the type of running and passing numbers you're talking about. IMO, double wing is the most fun and most flexible of all the TCY formations. Do what you want, and if you have the proper players, it will work.

Cool...that's what I thought. I haven't seen QB's put up those type of numers in any other kind of offense. I really want to switch over to this type of offense at some point since I am an option offense guy at heart and I've been running the Pro Form for the last 13 years so I'm getting antsy.
