TCY - Let's Go Duke! Let's Go Duke! (Year 15)
Welcome to year 15 of my Duke Blue Devils TCY Dynasty. Feedback is always welcome.
Year 14 was an utter disappointment. Losing in the quarters to San Diego State...then watching Rice win it all. Basically the same team we beat a year earlier by a lot. Trust me. Primary Offense: Pro Form Primary Defense: 4-3 Current Prestige: 87 Career Record: 111-60 2013 (7-4) 2014 (12-1) 2015 (13-2) 2016 (12-1) Email Time RB Emmitt Ward has been inducted to the Duke Hall of Fame. (We get our first inductee in the school's hall of fame. Emmitt is still the career leader in rushing attempts with 907 and is 2nd all-time in rushing yards (3967)...total yards (5267)...rushing TD's (44) and total TD's with 55.) Defensive Coordinator Lewis Pritchett has retired from his position as defensive coordinator. (More like pushed out after his defense finished 114th in pass defense last season). And Clemson has hired a new coach...Desmond Bettencourt...former Kent Head Coach. Hirings Defensive Coordinator - Chester Van Pelt (52) Chester was our best bet after Pritchett left. Van Pelt was Connecticut's D-Coordinator last year and is pretty average all around except for our two favorite categories...Injury Avoidance and Rehabilitation...in which he is Excellent and Terrific respectively. Scouts New England - Mitch Meraz (45) Small upgrade here. Scheduling Code:

Starting Lineups
Offense Code:
Edwards - Edwards had 529 rushing yards and 6 TD's as a back-up last year. Borders - Earned 2nd team all-ACC as a first year starter last year. Had 30 receptions. Cutler - Maybe the biggest TE we've had 6-4...279. 1st year starter. Davison - Was the leading receiver last season before a broken wrist cut his season short. Cordero - Supposed to be red-shirted last year. But ended up having 21 catches for 432 and 3 TD's Wooden - Has earned all conference honors all three years. Two 2nd teams and one 1st team. Harmon - Harmon's just a stud. Has been all-ACC 1st team his first two seasons. McNally - 1st year starter. Good run and pass blocker. Ellard - Earned a spot on the Freshman All-American team last year. Great career ahead of him. Alstott - 3rd year as a starter. Good pass blocker. Defense Code:
Tate - This guy will be feared in the ACC for the next 4 years. Shepherd - Finally gets starting nod as a Senior. Better pass rusher than run stopper. Andersen - Same story for Andersen except his stength is run stopping. Cash - Another Senior getting his first chance to start. Fits our classic ILB mold as a good run stopper. Foley - Had excellent Freshman year earning Freshman All-American honors. Had 4 sacks and 4 ints. Woodson - Joines Foley as the other young OLB but has loads of talent. Krouac - Had 2 ints last season as first year starter. Herndon - Got 4 starts last year and picked off 2 passes and took each back for TD's. Ross - 40 tackles last year as first year starter...also 2 ints. McGregor - Earned 2nd team all-ACC honors with 48 tackles and 4 ints last year. Special Teams Code:
Decker - 1st team all-ACC last year. Was 17-22 FG's.

This season will mark the end of the Pro Form offense here at Duke. I've always been an option oriented offense guy and so after Buchanan graduates we will be switching the offense to the Double Wing. The Double Wing offense...as far as what I've seen in TCY...is the most effective in getting the QB involved in the running game and offers the best chance for a QB to gain considerable yards. I've seen Texas Longhorn QB's gain in upwards of 1600 yards in a season while throwing for 2000...so that to me is very intriguing. My favorite college players are all option QB's. Tommie Frazier...Dee Dowis...and Eric Crouch to name a few. So that's the type of player I want to create.
So next year we have Fernando Summers...who will be a senior...and has a nice scrambling frequency. Then in an act of God if you will...as I embarked on the recruiting trails this year...the #1 player in the country just happens to be a QB from North Carolina that likes to run all the time and his top prioriy is Academics . So we couldn't have had the cards fall better...now we just need to land him.Ok...onto the season.

Just ran into some major problems. As I was opening up the roster to start this season...something has gone really really wrong. If anyone knows how to remedy this...let me know. Every team's roster looks exactly like this. This career could have come to a schreeching halt.

I have never had that happened and it would be unfortunate to have your dynasty end this way. The only suggestion i can think of is to keep re-loading (which by now you've probably already done). If you can somehow shoot an e-mail to Jim maybe you could get some help there also. Good Luck.
