Best Place to Play Online Poker?

Ok, I have recently been playing at Pacfic Poker and it seems like a pretty good palce to play. They don't charge you for cash outs and the technical support is pretty good. They also have some pretty good promotions as well.

But I am wondering, what is the best place to play at? I am really lloking in terms of promotions. I like getting free money and it can really justify actually gambling. What is your recomendaiton?

I've been using Absolute Poker, and am too looking to get into the $1 no-limit hold 'em tourneys. Just for experience purposes and to see what it's like when people play for "real" money. Oh yeah, how secure are these sites? I would figure pretty solid with regards to security, but it don't hurt to ask.

Mine is PokerStars. Fast, no crashes, and most games/options

I've played a lot of sites

Pacific Poker: terrible

Absolute Poker: bad

Ultimate Bet: best software, tons of bonus offers on deposits on a very regular basis, fastest (and free) cashouts, and the most lenient withdrawal options when receiving a bonus (you can immediately withdrawal your money and not lose your bonus). Also, bonuses are deposited to your account dollar by dollar as you work them off, not as one lump sum at other sites. Tighter games than PartyPoker though, so probably not as much money to be made. Still, I run back everytime they have a bonus offer because the offers are so good.

PokerStars: right behind UltimateBet in terms of software, lots of tournament options. My only complaint is ther relative difficults in working off bonuses, and the moderate difficulty in getting sit-n-go tournaments going at anything but the lowest buy-in.

PartyPoker: you can get any game, any time here. By far the most players (BY FAR), and by far the worst players as well. The software isn't the greatest, but it's not as bad as other sites. The insane amount of game options combined with terrible players makes this my "home" site. I think if you're playing to make money, you have to be playing this site regularly.

InterCasino Poker: shit software, but an unbeatable bonus each month. They give you 50 bucks once you play 300 hands (not raked hands, just dealt cards in 300 hands) every single month. I play for a few days at the beginning of the month just for the bonus. They also give you a matching bonus of up to 80 doallars in their casino every month. If you get a bit lucky you can clear that and cash it out. If not, you lost nothing. A couple months I made and extra 200+ dollars thanks to this. It costs a dollar per withdrawal though, but the monthly bonus makes this site an absolute no-brainer for me.

edit: and if you or anyone want a referral to the sites that do that, I'd be more than happy. Both you and I would receive a bonus.

There certainly is a lot to like about PokerStars. If you could combine their software with Party's user base, the site would be unbeatable. I think UB and PokerStars are a cut above any other site I've played as far as software.

Party seems to have fixed whatever crash problems where plaguing their server months back. I haven't had a problem in a long time.

no shit? I may have to look into that one, hadn't heard of it.

I play at partypoker. I only play elsewhere for bonus money, or when party is down.

PokerStars and UltimateBet are both very good sites, but the play is quite simply tougher than PartyPoker, so I see no reason at all to play at either under non-bonus circumstances.

I play at poker stars because the software is the best (I hate UB! it uses IE for goodness sakes!) and because I actually like playing better players. I don't play to make money, I play because I enjoy it, so playing against decent competition is good to me. I don't know how you guys can stand party and UB

I actually enjoy playing at Absolute, the interface is admittedly not the best...but its getting better. Play has also been improving across the board, but there are still many very soft games and I think its a good site for a beginner compared to a relative rock garden of a site like Pokerstars.
