just saw the coverage on BBC News. Too funny.
They said it was tradition for the guest speaker to sing in front of his peers. I guess Powell decided that he just COULDNT get away with it - so why not ham it up? He doesnt really sing.. kinda just 'speaks in tone' or 'sprechgesang' as my music teacher would call it...
