Did Moore include this in his "documnetary"?

OPERATION: IRAQI FREEDOM
Iraqi chemical weapons
found by Polish troops

Sec. Rumsfeld informed at NATO summit
of recent discovery of undeclared WMD

Polish troops in Iraq recently have discovered "16 or 17" warheads containing sarin or mustard gas, according to Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.

Donald Rumsfeld

"Now these are weapons that we always knew Saddam Hussein had that he had not declared, and they have tested them, and I have not seen them, and I have not tested them, but they believe that they are correct that these, in fact, were undeclared chemical weapons ... ," Rumsfeld told radio talk host Roger Hedgecock in an interview transcribed and posted on the Department of Defense website.

Rumsfeld said he was told of the discovery of the "quite lethal" chemical weapons by the Polish minister of defense at the NATO summit in Turkey last weekend.

The troops had made the find "within the last period of days" before the summit, he said.

Arguing for the difficulty of finding WMD in a country the size of California, Rumsfeld pointed out the hole where ousted dictator Saddam Hussein was captured "was probably big enough to hold chemical and biological weapons sufficient to kill tens of thousands of people."

Rumsfeld also mentioned the U.S. had found jet aircraft Hussein's regime had buried in sand.

Hedgecock asked Rumsfeld to comment on published reports that Syria is hiding Iraq's WMD.

The defense secretary acknowledged "there have been a lot of intelligence speculation and rumors and chatter about the fact that Saddam Hussein may have placed some of his weapons of mass destruction in Syria prior to the start of the war."

But he said, "Until that can be validated and proved, you’ll find people in the administration not talking about it."

Can we get a Michael Moore forum? I recognize his fat ass won't fit in one forum very well, but I've got a shoehorn SD can borrow if necessary...

At what point does it become an obsession? I mean, we have far more important things to discuss --- such as the Soldiers of Surrender magazine (which was brilliant) and the early thoughts of people who got their copy of NCAA 2005 first. Enough with the Michael Moore......okay, you don't like him... we get it. Guess what -- not a lot of people do. (where's the dead horse icon when you need it?)

Warheads were empty.

What is sad about this post is its date ... today. These warheads were found almost 2 weeks ago ... examined and found to be negative for chemicals weapons .. over a week ago (actually within a few hours of the annoucement) ... and now being touted as proof of WMDs.

I do admire the dogged determination though.

If this were true, you would think that it would be the leading headline over "Weezie" Jefferson dying.

Damn liberal media.

Three things:

1) Yes, you have to love a publication where two of the biggest stories are about Mike "Erectile Dysfunction" Ditka running for the U.S. Senate and a story about how everyone needs to spread the word and boost the audience of the publisher's radio show. Not even Ruppert Murdoch runs front page stories in The Post telling people they need to spread the word about Fox's programming.

2) I've said it before and I'll say it again -- No more screaming you've found weapons of mass destruction unless you have the damn stuff in your hands.

3) People don't like Michael Moore -- WE GET IT. I don't like Michael Moore either. He's a pompous ass. Do what I do -- don't go see the damn movie. Don't try to weave some complex message designed to make everyone go, "You're completely turned me around on the subject! I was going to vote for Kerry, but now that you have pointed out every flaw in Moore's film I'm going to go five Dick Cheney a handjob!"

I guess these warhead were just for looks then. I can just see Sadaam saying, "hey, can I get some warheads as decerations in my palace?". Come on people, don't be that naive.

So wait, we were supposed to invade Iraq to get back the short range (could never, ever reach the United States) warheads that we gave to Iraq in order to kill Iranians?

Isn't that kind of like purposely throwing a kid the ball in Kill the Man with the Ball.

Maybe I'm missing something?

They say 'warheads' on WorldNet Daily when they mean 'artlillery shells.' Iraq had a long with Iran(and the US gave them lots of help to fight it).

Technically, an artillery shell has a warhead.

I think.

Anyway, can we move on to trout or something?

Yeah it does, of course. But it shouldn't be surprising that the Iraqi army has artillery shells(I think) as some of the earlier seemed to be--"hey can I get some warheads as decorations in my palace?", etc, that had the ring of 'ICBM' warhead. That's all I'm saying. I'm done.

MICHAEL Moore messed with the wrong rocker when he charged that The Who's Pete Townshend refused to allow his classic hit "Won't Get Fooled Again" to be used in "Fahrenheit 9/11." Biting back on his Web site, Townshend said the reason the song wasn't used was not because he was for the war in Iraq (which he admits he was), but because he doesn't trust Moore's accuracy in reporting and regards Moore as a bully. "When first approached, I knew nothing about the content of his film 'Fahrenheit 9/11,' " Townshend writes. "I had not really been convinced by 'Bowling for Columbine,' and had been worried about its accuracy . . . Once I had an idea what the film was about, I was 90 percent certain my song was not right for them." The rock legend continued, "I greatly resent being bullied and slurred by him in interviews just because he didn't get what he wanted from me. It seems to me that this aspect of his nature is not unlike that of the powerful and willful man at the center of his new documentary . . . [Moore will] have to work very, very hard to convince me that a man with a camera is going to change the world more effectively than a man with a guitar."

I love rock n roll. I love The Who

This is a comical thread. One misinformed Moore basher complains that Moore didn't include a discredited report about supposed WMD in Iraq while another trots out convicted sex offender Pete Townshend (child pornography) to call Moore a bully.
