The PC version is the one that's gone gold. It's supposed to be in stores August 5th.

thanks. About time a new Doom came out. Ive just about out played Doom I II and Final Doom. Final Doom still has it's moments though.

PC version is comming out August 3rd I think. The Xbox version isn't comming out till October 3rd though

so I'm sensing a distinct lack of enthusiasm for this one. Doesn't anyone wanna fork over $300 for a new graphics card and $100 for more memory?

Im worried about Doom 3 being a resource hog also. I have a 1.8 ghz comp with a 64 mb g force 4. I don't know if that will be good enough for Doom.

it will probably play on that machine but it wont be as graphically impressive as you'd like.

You'll most likely have to turn off all the eye-candy.

If your Geforce 4 is a 'MX' card, it would be worse...
