Damn, yep, just damn

I did a search to see if this was mentioned but I didn't see it. I was catching up on snopes when I finally saw the Dayton car crash video. It just made me say 'damn'.

http://www.snopes.com/photos/accident/carcrash01.asp scroll down for the actual footage

See, that's what he gets for not walking in the walkway lines. You want to tempt fate like that, see what happens!

here's what confuses me.

it sure looks like the Subaru (which had the green light) was going at a pretty good clip and would have plowed into the guy (who was walking against a red light) anyway even if the Cruiser hadn't been there.

QUOTE:"They also reported that Tegtmeyer miraculously escaped alive because the dent in the side of the Subaru caused by the crash created a hollow space that allowed the vehicle to roll over him without crushing him to death."

Are you kidding me? Its amazing the car was dented in such a way that it ended up saving the guys life during the rollover. I mean, don't get me wrong, the guy has some pretty bad luck to even be in that situation, but its pretty amazing to think that it could have been alot worse had the Cruiser hit the Subaru in a different place.

It looks like the Subaru was in the left lane and the guy was already into the right lane. The PT Cruiser hits the Subaru which pushes the Subaru into the right lane with the guy.

That is a pretty scary scene...
